Welcome Cubs Fans!

This blog will discuss the 1980s and the baseball card collecting hobby, with a focus on the Chicago Cubs. Contrary to vintage baseball cards, the majority of modern cards are affordable. The various sets will be considerably simpler to obtain. So, with thousands of cards in between, we'll start with 80 Topps and end with 89 Upper Deck. The apex of this period was represented by the Sandberg Rookie of the Year in 1983.

1982 Donruss Chicago Cubs Checklist

Number of Cards

1982 Donruss has 660 cards which there are 24 Cubs players

Card Dimensions

The standard-sized cards are the following dimensions: 2-1/2" by 3-1/2"

Basic Features

The first 26 cards in the set are from the Diamond Kings subset and feature the artwork of Dick Perez. The regular card fronts contain a color photograph, the Donruss logo, and the year designation is located at the top. The players' names and positions are located inside a cartoon bat, bordering the bottom of the card, along with the team name located inside a cartoon baseball near the handle of the bat.

The backs of these cards have black and blue ink on white card stock and include the players' career highlights.
