Pacific Trading Cards, owned by Mike Cramer, produced a highly acclaimed set of silver-bordered cards during this time period. Despite the passage of many years since their retirement, the majority of the players featured in the collection are still widely recognized. The front of each card showcases a high-quality photo of the player, while the back provides detailed information about their career and highlights their best season statistics. It is worth noting that this set was officially licensed. Did you know that Ernie Banks hit 12 grand slams? Thanks to these cards, you are now aware of this impressive feat.I am unsure why Chuck Connors was included among all of these goats. Connors was traded to the Cubs in the early 1950s and only played 66 games, hitting just two home runs and 18 RBIs, which are not Hall of Fame-worthy numbers. Upon closer inspection of his card, it is not a photograph but a well-executed painting of Chuck. He looks quite distinguished in this set, but it actually is a reprint, of the 1985 Baseball Cards Magazine Repli-Cards and the original 1977 Fritsch One Year Winners. Additionally, although Cub legend and MVP Hank Sauer is depicted wearing a reds uniform, he was included on the checklist due to his impressive performance with the Cubs.
