The 1989 Donruss regular issue is quite similar in style to these All-Stars, which are standard size. The League logos in the lower right corner of each card make this collection unique. At the All-Star Game last year, every player took part. One Pop-Up, five All-Star cards, and a Warren Spahn puzzle card were included in each individual wax All Stars pack.Although the pop-up set is not chronologically numbered, it is similar to the first ten cards in each league's base set (cards #1–#10 and #33–#42) because it contains the starting lineups for the 1988 All-Star Game. These inserts feature Ryne Sandberg and Andre Dawson.
