Welcome Cubs Fans!

This blog will discuss the 1980s and the baseball card collecting hobby, with a focus on the Chicago Cubs. Contrary to vintage baseball cards, the majority of modern cards are affordable. The various sets will be considerably simpler to obtain. So, with thousands of cards in between, we'll start with 80 Topps and end with 89 Upper Deck. The apex of this period was represented by the Sandberg Rookie of the Year in 1983.

Number of Cards

There are 30 cards in the 1981 Cramer Baseball Legends set out of a total of 124 cards produced over four years. In the 81 set, there are three notable all-time Cubs players. Rogers Hornsby would ordinarily be a cardinal, but Mr. Cramer had to pick between a dirty bird and the Chichago Cubs, a renowned historical fraternity. It's self-evident.

The standard-sized cards are the following dimensions: 2-1/2" by 3-1/2"

Basic Features

Cramer Sports Promotions, later known as Pacific Trading Cards, unveiled this series. This initial set is the first of four 30-card collections that together form a 120-card set released between 1980 and 1983.
