This blog will explore the baseball card collecting hobby of the 1980s, particularly highlighting the Chicago Cubs. Unlike vintage baseball cards, most modern cards are quite budget-friendly. The different sets will be much easier to find. Therefore, with thousands of cards in the mix, we will begin with the 80 Topps and conclude with the highly valuable 1985 Topps Mini Test. The pinnacle of this era was marked by the Sandberg Rookie of the Year in 1983.

1987 Hostess Stickers Cubs Checklist

The size of the cards are small 1 3/8" x 1 3/4"

Basic Features

Hostess Potato Chips developed this set in Canada and sold it in bags of potato chips. It had a variety of taste options. Each sticker featured rounded corners and was loosely wrapped in cellophane to prevent stains. The player's name, team, and position are written in both English and French on the stickers' backs. Shops provided a poster on which you could encircle the Hostess advertisement with all 30 stickers.
