Topps released special collector's edition sets, also referred to as Topps Tiffany cards, to collectors between 1984 and 1991. Topps Tiffany cards were printed in Ireland on premium white card paper with a glossy cover, the sets contained exactly the same cards as the standard Topps regular issue. In 1989, only 15,000 of these sets were produced. The easiest way to determine a Tiffany card from a regular issued base card is to look at the back of the card. The Tiffany card backs will be a bright pink background, while the regularly issued cards will appear to be a red-gray.
1989 Topps Baseball Traded and Tiffany Traded have no visible markings that can be seen in pictures to differentiate them apart.
