Welcome Cubs Fans!

This blog will explore the baseball card collecting hobby of the 1980s, particularly highlighting the Chicago Cubs. Unlike vintage baseball cards, most modern cards are quite budget-friendly. The different sets will be much easier to find. Therefore, with thousands of cards in the mix, we will begin with the 80 Topps and conclude with the highly valuable 1985 Topps Mini Test. The pinnacle of this era was marked by the Sandberg Rookie of the Year in 1983.

1986 Topps Stickers Cubs Checklist

Number of Cards

315 cards in the 1986 Topps Stickers collection included 10 Cubs players.

Size of Cards

The size of the cards measure approximately 2 1/8" by 3"

Basic Features

Made in Italy for Topps and O-Pee-Chee by Panini, stickers feature white-bordered color player photographs. The stickers may be placed on an album that was sold in stores. The typical All-Star Players subset, which has a foil border, is included in this set. The Topps stickers contain offers on the back to obtain either a trip for four to Spring Training of the team of your choice or a complete set of Topps baseball cards directly from Topps.

O-Pee-Chee was exactly the same as the Topps set except that the horizontal backs carry a bilingual ad for O-Pee-Chee in blue lettering. Look for differences at the bottom.
