Topps released special collector's edition sets, also referred to as Topps Tiffany cards, to collectors between 1984 and 1991. Topps Tiffany cards were printed in Ireland on premium white card paper with a glossy cover, the sets contained exactly the same cards as the standard Topps regular issue. In 1988, only 30,000 of these sets were produced.1988 Topps Baseball and Tiffany will have a "*" on the back of the cards, but Tiffany will not have "PRTN IN USA" on the back because it was printed in Ireland.
The 1988 Topps Baseball Traded has a ** in the bottom left corner. Tiffany has none.
