The Donruss Company, in partnership with its new parent company, Leaf, released this set specifically for the Canadian market. While the cards share similarities with the Donruss U.S. standard issue featuring the same players, they differ in card numbers and include bilingual backs in both French and English. As is typical with Canadian sets, there is a strong emphasis on players from Canadian teams and those American teams nearest to the Canadian border.
