Welcome Cubs Fans!

This blog will discuss the 1980s and the baseball card collecting hobby, with a focus on the Chicago Cubs. Contrary to vintage baseball cards, the majority of modern cards are affordable. The various sets will be considerably simpler to obtain. So, with thousands of cards in between, we'll start with 80 Topps and end with 89 Upper Deck. The apex of this period was represented by the Sandberg Rookie of the Year in 1983.

1986 Fleer Star + Team Stickers Cubs Checklist

Number of Cards

There are six Cubs players among the 132 cards in the 1986 Fleer Star Stickers collection plus some Team insert stickers.

Card Dimensions

The standard-sized cards are the following dimensions: 2-1/2" by 3-1/2"

Basic Features

The 132-card set of standard-size stickers (made of card stock) was distributed in wax packs, with card photos on the front surrounded by a yellow border and a dark red frame. Fleer did not release an album this year, unlike previous years. On white card stock, the backs are printed in blue and black. The backs include year-by-year statistical data. They are numbered in the upper left-hand corner on the back. The card numbers are arranged alphabetically by the player's name.
