Welcome Cubs Fans!

This blog will explore the baseball card collecting hobby of the 1980s, particularly highlighting the Chicago Cubs. Unlike vintage baseball cards, most modern cards are quite budget-friendly. The different sets will be much easier to find. Therefore, with thousands of cards in the mix, we will begin with the 80 Topps and conclude with the highly valuable 1985 Topps Mini Test. The pinnacle of this era was marked by the Sandberg Rookie of the Year in 1983.

Basic Features

The front of the card features a faux wood grain border that encircles a vibrant player photo. At the bottom, the O-Pee-Chee logo appears in bold black letters, while the ballplayer's name is displayed in black characters set against a colorful box. Each card also showcases the logo of the corresponding team in one corner. On the reverse side, the athlete's name, position, card number, and statistics are printed in a horizontal layout using yellow and black. The standard content is presented in both English and French.
