Welcome Cubs Fans!

This blog will explore the baseball card collecting hobby of the 1980s, particularly highlighting the Chicago Cubs. Unlike vintage baseball cards, most modern cards are quite budget-friendly. The different sets will be much easier to find. Therefore, with thousands of cards in the mix, we will begin with the 80 Topps and conclude with the highly valuable 1985 Topps Mini Test. The pinnacle of this era was marked by the Sandberg Rookie of the Year in 1983.

1984 Cubs Seven-Up

Number of Cards

1984 Cubs Seven-Up has 28 cards

Card Dimensions

The standard-sized cards are the following dimensions: 2-1/2" by 3-1/2"

Basic Features

The cards are in full bleed color (Full bleed printing is printing to the edge of the paper so the final result has no margins) featuring action images from one of the greatest Cubs teams in recent memory.

The card backs are printed in black on white card stock and contain the usual statistics about their career.

This set was given out during a game during that magical season. The Cubs haven't been to a playoff in about 40 years. The last game was supposed to be played at Wrigley Field, but the commissioner, Bowie Kuhn, said "no light, no game." It was moved to San Diego.
