This blog will discuss the 1980s and the baseball card collecting hobby, with a focus on the Chicago Cubs. Contrary to vintage baseball cards, the majority of modern cards are affordable. The various sets will be considerably simpler to obtain. So, with thousands of cards in between, we'll start with 80 Topps and end with 89 Upper Deck. The apex of this period was represented by the Sandberg Rookie of the Year in 1983.

Basic Features

The Fleer Award Winners collection, created by Fleer for 7-Eleven stores, contains 44 standard-size cards. The fronts of the cards are in full color with action shots of the player, and the backs are red, white, and blue and include a small bio and career stats.

The collection is referred to as the "1988 Limited Edition Baseball Award Winners" on the card's packaging. The set's checklist is included on the back of the set box. Six stickers from the Fleer main collection from 1988 were also included.
