This blog will explore the baseball card collecting hobby of the 1980s, particularly highlighting the Chicago Cubs. Unlike vintage baseball cards, most modern cards are quite budget-friendly. The different sets will be much easier to find. Therefore, with thousands of cards in the mix, we will begin with the 80 Topps and conclude with the highly valuable 1985 Topps Mini Test. The pinnacle of this era was marked by the Sandberg Rookie of the Year in 1983.

1987 Seven-Eleven Coins Chicago Cubs Checklist

1987 Seven-Eleven Coins has 75 coins in set which there are 12 Cubs

Size of Cards

The size of the coins are 1 3/4" in diameter

Basic Features

These "3-D" type coins are very similar to those of the preceding years, except that in 1987, 7-Eleven issued five subsets. The subsets are Detroit (D), East (E), Chicago (C), Mideast (M) and West (W). Each subset has a different color border on the back.

The letter prefix before the number in the checklist below denotes the region of issue. Each of the five subsets is numbered and contains between 12 and 16 coins.
