This blog will explore the baseball card collecting hobby of the 1980s, particularly highlighting the Chicago Cubs. Unlike vintage baseball cards, most modern cards are quite budget-friendly. The different sets will be much easier to find. Therefore, with thousands of cards in the mix, we will begin with the 80 Topps and conclude with the highly valuable 1985 Topps Mini Test. The pinnacle of this era was marked by the Sandberg Rookie of the Year in 1983.

Chicago Cubs 1985 Donruss Action All-Stars Checklist
the 1992 Cubs Vintage Cubs Cards Collection, which included a ton of amazing sets, was a blog that I started back in July 2009 but never finished. So let's start with Old Style, which used to be my favorite beer. Old Style is renowned for its "kraeusening," or double fermentation, a technique common to bottle-fermented beers that, according to the brand, gives their lager "extra carbonation and deep richness" that is unmatched by other brews. Old Style and the Chicago Cubs had a sponsorship agreement in 1950, making it "the beer of choice at Wrigley Field in the 1970s," which is another intriguing tidbit. However, quality declined once the company was sold in the 1980s.
Number of Cards
1992 Old Style have 28 cards, and are all Cubs playes.
Size of Cards
The size of the cards are approximately 2 3/8" by 3 1/2."
Basic Features
This 28-card set measures the standard size and features sepia-tone player photos with tan borders. The reverse of this set, which is somewhat uninspiring, shows the years they played with the team and some career highlights. A faceless player wielding a bat and wearing the team outfit from that time period is a peculiar aspect of this set. The cards are unnumbered and checklisted below in alphabetical order.
